Just noticed this on the annotations site...

Should we get a blogger bus and all go?

Take good notes for us. Is anyone reading this site anymore?

Mais bien sur. I finished T.Recs last night, I'm about to look for a personal copy in the bookstores of Melbourne and beginning to wonder if buying Cloud Atlas was such a good idea - it looks like a pale imitation now. But your ranks are sorely thinned, it seems.

Can I risk the comment that this is a book you need a good slab of solid reading time to get through, and all your peers are heavy readers and pretty outstanding writers, aren't they. It has been a great help to me to know others are going to talk out loud in a relaxed but highly informed manner about it, I would not have bothered to pick it up without this welcoming and intelligent space. But clearly the serious debate has dissipated a tad due to the busy-ness of the punters.
Derik I had a track around your Oulipo bibliog and have added a couple of books to my list for my next visit to the uni library. So I might fry my brain a little longer, it seems...Thanks!

I'm still reading, but I'm on 2.5, so at least a chapter behind... Genevieve is certainly correct in my case--finding extended reading time has been difficult for me of late...

I'd love to be able to attend the conference, by the way, if only I lived anywhere near Buffalo...

Har har I just did a search in one of our better bookshops' online catalogue for Gaddis, William and got all his works, plus Ministry of Sound Mashed,a CD mixed by Ajax and Wok. Good to know they've also got that one, isn't it.

I too have had trouble finding lots of reading time. And in the hopes of keeping my blog going, I've been reading other things.

Sadly, at this point I'm not sure I'll get to finishing it.

(Nice new layout in Blogger for adding comments!)

Mmm, I started a blog and temporarily shut it down to get back to Gaddis.(Couldn't stop blogging for very long though, this is addictive, Bud.) This comments page is much better, isn't it.
I'm happy to write a post on the next section if y'all want to read it...will put it up on Thursday?
(I think that's Friday lunchtime here so bear with me if it appears early or late). Please advise, I do not wish to interlope (or bludge either, that's Oz for free-loading).

Life! I'm glad to keep going. As have others, my reading time has been nil lately and I've read some other things as well. I'm around page 570 or something like that and have thought of spending a little time writing out some of my thoughts.

The Literary Saloon just mentioned this site as something "less ambitious" as the newly created "Rising Up, Rising" down blog, which of course, anything in the world is, but now that mention feels like a challenge to see this site to it's end.
